NEW NEW: Astronomy 2026 PDF Edition

Welcome to Astronomy 2026, a digital edition. Last year, we produced our final (2025) printed yearbook.  This PDF edition contains somewhat less of our regular information; there are no feature articles, no outer planet satellite information and no minor planet or comet information. There are only one or two sky views per month, and some other areas have reduced coverage.

At this time, we do not know if there will be any further editions after this one.

Note, there are two versions, the first “dark” has been created with the same colours we have used for many years now. The second “lighter” edition has had a number of the diagrams and pages “lightened up” to make printing your own pages easier (less toner or ink). Each downloadable from one of these this links.

PREVIOUS DOWNLOADS

Downloadable resources. The first is the planet finder card (provides planet locations on the planisphere)  followed by extra information for a particular year that includes tables and other data we couldn’t fit in the book. While it varies a bit from year to year, normally we have:

    • Geocentric Positions for the Sun, Moon, planets (& Pluto)
        •
    • Rise and Set times for the Sun and planets for Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
